Senior Advocate, Jurist and Ex. Member of Parliament ( Rajya Sabha)
Mr Fali Sam Nariman (a nonagenarian) is a Legal Scholar, an Eminent Jurist and one of the Stalwarts of the Legal Profession. He was designated as a Senior Advocate by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in 1971.
Mr Nariman was nominated by the President of India as the Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha).
Mr Nariman for his outstanding contribution in the field of jurisprudence and public affairs, has also been honoured by the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_presidents_of_India with the Padma Vibhushan (in 2007) and the Padma Bhushan (in 1991) , the second and third Highest Civilian Awards respectively.
Mr Nariman is also a winner of the Gruber Prize for Justice (in 2002).
Mr Nariman is an internationally recognised jurist on International Arbitration.
Mr Nariman has been an Additional Solicitor General of India (1972-1975).
Mr Nariman has appeared in most of the leading cases at the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and has contributed to the evolution of law.
Hon’ble Mr Justice(Retd) Justice Rohinton F Nariman, one of the most dynamic and vibrant Judges of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, happens to be the son of Mr Nariman.
